World Poverty - Get Satisfaction

I was reading this story the other day about poverty in the world...

.......one day a father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country. He wanted to show his son how poor people live.

They spent a couple of days on the farm living with a family that they considered very poor.

While they were returning home father asked his son how was the trip for him and did he saw how poor people live.

“Oh yes”, said the son and continued:
“I saw that we have one dog and they had four.
“We have a pool that reaches to the middle of the garden and they have a creek that has no end.
“We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.

“Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
“We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.

“We buy our food, but they grow theirs.
“We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.”

The boy’s father was speechless. Then his son added:
“Thanks, Dad for showing me how poor we are.”

Now, in the world I live in people are often stressed about money and possessions. They more often than not put their jobs before their health. Fear of not earning paycheck seems so horrible I guess. I even know people who earn lot's and lot's of money and still they are worried of a scenario  - what if I lose my job - . So It just goes around and around. It's never ending circle that is getting bigger and if one wishes to change it he needs to jump out of it.

Still I believe that most of us have this deep knowing that, in life, there is actually nothing to be afraid of. The son and father from the story showed us that actually our perceiving of things and situations is everything we need to adjust if we wish to make our life better.

Also to get rid of fear  means to take responsibility about all that is happening in your life. Well that can be a big bump in a road, because it is not easy to accept that we are really responsible.

So most of our fears are like - will I be able to buy a house/apartment? This is so far away from the questions you should be asking yourself. Because the truth is the land is free. Planet Earth is nobody's property, right? It is just that we invented it to be like that, so we can also uninvent it.

I personally liked living in an apartment until I started to spend more time in nature. Then I realized that nature has it all to recuperate your body, mind and spirit. Sun has the power to heal you. Fresh air has the power to clean your mind of heavy thoughts. Living spring water has the ability to clean your veins. Stars at night have the power to connect you with other star systems and our friends and family from other planets, galaxy and Universes. If that is not expansion and real richness in life than I don't know what is.

I mean how much your health costs? How much your time spent in depression and bad feeling costs? Who will give back to you that time that you could spend lovingly and gently enjoying your moments? For how much money can one buy the stars?

That is why I have a mission to slowly but surely go back to living in less polluted place in nature with animals and people that actually are conscience of Mother Earth and importance of her health. I am claiming back my power. I am remembering my strength and place mother nature provides.

In the end I would like to ask- Can one person change the world? Of course one can. In today's global society people who inspire others to be happy are shared throughout the internet. In today's world it is very hard to have a secret because of the internet and the speed that information is shared.

Well, at least there cannot be secrets for people who choose to see and hear. There will always exist people who choose to stay blind and deaf.
